Successful Acceleration and Reversal of Aging in Mice. Rejuvenation and doubling of life span a reality?

【Successfully controlled both “acceleration and reversal” of aging in mice!】

・The first study, reported by Harvard University in the United States, showed that the Yamanaka factor can restore and reverse aging, which is primarily caused by the degradation of chemical modification patterns that occur in DNA and proteins

・The second study, conducted by the U.S. biotechnology company Rejuvenate Bio, gave old mice the Yamanaka factor, which changed the chemical modification pattern of their DNA and doubled their life expectancy.

・The cause of aging is not the damage that accumulates in DNA, but the chemical modifications that take place in DNA and the proteins (chromatin) that exist around it.

・Does rejuvenation also extend life expectancy? The results showed that the mice in the target group had an average life expectancy of 9 weeks, whereas the mice treated with Yamanaka Factor had an average life expectancy of 18 weeks, almost twice as long as those in the control group.

These are the quotes from the article

Not immortality, but no longer, rejuvenation is possible!

Thus, I have written about rejuvenation many times on my blog, but this time the content is a little different.

The causes of aging have been conventionally attributed to DNA damage, deterioration, and bugs.

However, this study says that the aging process may be caused by scientific decorating patterns. (A bug of sorts, perhaps?)

DNA is made up of countless puzzle-like combinations. (Including combinations of genes turned on and off)

It is the sequence and combination of these that determines aging and rejuvenation.

If we assume that as we age, the combination becomes misaligned and we age, then if we restore the combination to the way it was when we were born, we will be young again.

This is a layman’s interpretation, but am I right in this expression? ^^;

Regardless, it is revolutionary in that it is different from the conventional approach to aging.

Although this is only at the stage of mouse experiments, it is amazing that it can rejuvenate people and even double their lifespan.

If applied to humans, it would really change the world. I think it will revolutionize the world in many ways.

Because, think of it in terms of yourself. Just imagining that you will be younger and have twice the life expectancy is enough to make your head spin.^^;

Incidentally, the Hakuhodo Institute of Life and Living’s timeline of the future states that rejuvenation technology will be developed in 2030.

Only 7 more years to 2030.

Now, what will happen?

Let’s keep an eye on it with various imaginations, fantasies, and preparations.

See you then.

If everyone were younger, it would become ambiguous about older or younger. Would we then have even more of a content game and meritocracy?
