Aspartame, an artificial sweetener, is still bad.


Artificial sweeteners are bad for you. It is common knowledge to a little health geek like me that aspartame, the most common of them all, is bad for you.


However, what was quite surprising in this study was that the adverse effects were passed on for two generations.


I think this means that it goes quite deep into the body.


Incidentally, the amount of aspartame ingested by the mice in this study was equivalent to about 15% of the maximum daily intake recommended for humans by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
